Visit Gabicce Mare

Gabicce Mare is a charming seaside town of the province of Pesaro Urbino, ideally placed along the border line between the Marche and Emilia Romagna and separated from the adjacent Cattolica by the course of the river Tavollo. Of ancient origins, hides precious historical evidences, like those kept inside its Parish Church, but is the seaside tourism that draws every year thousands of tourists and visitors attracted by its beautiful beaches and by the steep paths dropping sheer to the sea hidden inside the Natural Park of Monte San Bartolo.

It is precisely the Natural Park of Monte San Bartolo that confers to Gabicce Mare its unique and peculiar identity; its beautiful trails, a paradise for cyclists, hikers and lovers of Nordic Walking, wind along the hilly path that, between woods of holm oaks, oaks and maples and breath taking views overlooking the sea, leads up to the beautiful Baia Flaminia of Pesaro. Inside the park, unmissable villages clung on the rock, as Casteldimezzo, Fiorenzuola di Focara and Gabicce Monte. This last, perched on the hill just above Gabicce Mare, is the more evocative village, clustered around Piazza Valbruna, the Castle and the beautiful Church of Sant'Ermete.

You shall not miss a visit to the Baia Vallugola, suggestive bay reachable through the panoramic road that starts from Gabicce Monte or by sea; its beach made of stones and the lovely marina that separates it from the nearby Casteldimezzo make the bay one of the most exclusive destinations of the Riviera Romagnola.
