Le Navi (Ships) is the wonderful Aquarium of Cattolica, divided into 4 trails that reveal the mysteries of the aquatic world with over 100 display tanks for all the animal species you can imagine and even more.
The Blue Trail shows the history of the evolution of the planet with still alive prehistoric animal species showing themselves in all their beauty. It will be a visit under the water surface, from the Mediterranean Sea to the Atlantic, Pacific and Indian Oceans, through the coral reefs of the Red Sea, admiring sharks, penguins, turtles, jellyfish and many other animal species. The tanks meticulously reproduce the natural environment and show the inhabitants of the unfathomed deep in a unique and evocative way.
The two tanks of the Yellow Trail accompany you on an exciting journey to discover the freshwater streams through fearsome alligators and playful otters. This trail also aims to raise awareness, as it invites to reflect on the importance of the water element in the life cycle of the entire planet. This is the great theme in the yellow trail that will be increasingly given priority in future years, allowing visitors to discover the various river environments on the planet and all the organisms that inhabit them.
The Green Trail, dedicated to exotic animals, will amaze you with chameleons, frogs, insects and snakes. Each animal species is the protagonist under the astonished eyes of visitors: fearsome snakes, aquatic insects and amphibians, chameleons, geckos, iguanas, lizards and tortoises.
The Purple Trail of the Cattolica Le Navi park, inaugurated in 2016, is certainly the most exciting, as it accompanies you to discover the fantastic world of sharks, the perfect predators, from the great white shark to the small pygmy shark.
The most exciting moment of the visit to the park is definitely the meal of sharks, penguins, otters and stingrays. The team of experts will give you particular information to learn more about these wonderful creatures.
